On his way to shred

A couple of weeks ago our friend Sam came in with his own money to buy his first longboard. He ended up walking away with a killer setup including an Earthwing Superglider longboard with Monster Hawg wheels and Paris trucks.  He’s been back to a make a few adjustments to his board, and recently bought some new pads including a Triple 8 helmet. We love hearing from customers, especially when they tell us how much fun they’re having.

From Sam’s Mom:

“We picked up Sam’s new pads from Motion yesterday and went for a cruise around the neighborhood. He is *loving* the board. Just wanted to share a couple of pics with you.

Thanks again to all of you for making him feel so welcome. He is always addressed by name when we visit the store. :)

My 3 year-old loves longboarding. His favorite “style” right now is luge ( face up and feet-first ) and I push the board.

Who is your oldest ( age wise ) customer ? I am trying to introduce longboarding as a recreational sport to older folks ( 30+)

Hey Paul! Our oldest longboarding friends are in their 50s. One of the most famous local sponsored downhill longboarders is about 54 years old, so it’s a great sport for all ages! Even the older guys and gals are welcomed into the community with open arms.

Every once in a while Sam will actually let me ride his board, and it feels pretty amazing. I’m in my 30′s and see no reason why anyone my age couldn’t go full throttle in the sport. Of course, I haven’t tackled any big downhills…. just yet. I am certain Sam will say I will have to get my own board for that!
    Thanks again MoBo!
